Transforming the Head and Neck Discovery Program

It is an exciting time in the Head and Neck Discovery Program at The Princess Margaret. Thanks to support from our donor community, we are one of the most comprehensive and integrated programs of our kind in the world, with a tradition of excellence. We have had tremendous success in a number of clinical trials, established the number one head and neck survivorship program in the world, and created a database of nearly 12,000 patients to inform and enhance our research.

Now, the Head and Neck Discovery Program is looking towards the future. Led by Dr. John Waldron, the team is accelerating its vision to become the leading head and neck treatment and research program in the world. We have identified five “pillars” of patient-centered care that will guide our transformation. Strengthening our commitment in these areas will help us achieve our goals and improve care and quality of life for head and neck cancer patients.

“These strategic pillars are the foundation of everything we do in the Head and Neck Discovery Program,” says Dr. Waldron. “Our team is the epitome of multidisciplinary, so all of our work touches upon each of these pillars in some way.”

Please help us reach our goal of becoming the leading head and neck cancer care and research program in the world.
