For 41 years runners have been gathering together at High Park to kick off the Canada Running Series with the Race Roster Spring Run-off. This race allows runners to fundraise for Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and donate their money to whichever branch of research or department within the Cancer Centre that they choose.

With spring still waiting to make an appearance this year, April 7th turned out to be a cold morning, but that didn’t stop the 4,000 runners from taking on the hills of High Park. Whole families came out to run either 5Km, 8Km or take part in the children’s run, and $42,000 was raised for cancer research and patient care.
