1. It's About Self-Care
Yoga helps us develop the awareness to listen to our own unique cues that bring us back to ourselves. Imagine peeling back the layers of an onion – yoga allows us to peel back our layers and find our centre.
2. It's an Antidote to Technology
We are living in the age of technology and are very fortunate to have access to so much information at our fingertips. But just like eating too much chocolate, the over-use of our devices is not a good thing. Balance and moderation. When practising yoga, we reconnect to our inner world and balance our lives.
3. Yoga Strengthens Your Physical Body
Yoga gives us the ability to build a solid foundation to our physical frame from the inside out. The asanas – or poses – are vehicles to bring us back into alignment and create a heightened awareness of how we live in our bodies. Yoga is not so much about standing on our head, but rather being able to stand on our own two feet and be grounded.
4. You'll Sleep Like A Baby
Regular yoga practice has a positive effect in many aspects of daily life, including the all-important good night’s sleep. When we learn pranayama breathing techniques, we develop the ability to directly affect the quality of our health and impact the quality of our sleep.
