“THERAC 25” BY ADAM PETTLE UNIT 102 ACTORS COMPANY PRESENTS “THERAC 25” BY ADAM PETTLE

UNIT 102 ACTORS COMPANY  is proud to announce its production of THERAC 25 by Toronto playwright, Adam Pettle. This brand-new production continues Unit102’s commitment to producing the best in indie theatre. With new revisions to the award-winning script and a multi-disciplinary production team, this production of THERAC 25 promises to be a radiant and sensory experience.

Set in and around the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, the story of Alan and Moira exposes the harsh realities of the solitude and fears that accompany cancer treatment with brutal honesty and wry humour. Pettle’s writing comes from a place of awful familiarity,

It was the personal connection to this story that brought this production into existence and provides the motivation to engage in the realities of the content beyond the story-telling. As well as donating a percentage of both the ticket proceeds and additional fundraising efforts to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto , the production is coordinating with several organizations to provide talk-back opportunities and other activities in support of the individuals and families fighting the disease both known and unknown to us.

This production continues Unit 102’s residency in the new ASSEMBLY THEATRE, located at 1479 Queen Street West, in the heart of Parkdale. Directed by JESSIE FRASER, the production features CASS VAN WYCK (His Girl Friday, Bygone Theatre), and LUIS FERNANDES (Tough Jews, Storefront Theatre), with stage management by ERIN MAXFIELD.

The production features projection design by CHRISTOPHER LEWIS, sound design by AARON COLLIER, costume design by JANELLE HINCE, and lighting design by STEVE VARGO.
